met up with mrbubbletea at marina square to accompany him for his lunch break and then off to kampung melayu to meet the rest of the gnk to catch a Balinese arts performance. waited for about an hour for the show to start and we stood the entire time until we left the show halfway. the crowd was very bad. inconsiderate mats and minahs lighted up their cancer sticks when they can clearly see the presence of babies and toddlers! take it from me, i almost suffocated to death i tell you!
honestly, the only part of the show i enjoyed is the Balinese gamelan performance. i find the rest of the show unnecessary and unprofessionally executed. and oh, between Balinese and Javanese gamelan styles, i would very much prefer the latter anytime. Javanese pride yo!
